A record/playback method for simulating a device-under-test, for test & measurement applications

Contemporary test & measurement platforms acquire physical signal samples and process these digitally. The processing software of such an instrument must be carefully designed and tested. Sample error contributions propagate through digital processing stages, introducing uncertainty that can be costly to remedy or work around during performance testing of the instrument software. A method is described for mitigating this uncertainty.
